Land Resource Management Group maintains a team of talented and dedicated professionals, including restoration ecologists, wetland scientists, landscape architects, greenspace planners, and environmental engineers, who excel in their respective field of expertise. Our principal staff members are:
With more than 15 years of professional experience in private practice as a consulting wetland ecologist and restoration management professional, Paul directs all of LRMG operations. He co-founded Land Resource Management Group in May of 2004, bringing his vision of “land to water stewardship” to all our works with his contagious enthusiasm as well as his dedication to his clients and the environment. He focuses on integrated land use and sustainable design when planning the green infrastructure of residential developments, community parks, and industrial complexes. As President, he leads LRMG’s highly talented staff of environmental engineers, landscape architects, ecologists, and supporting team to deliver the highest quality ecological design and planning work in the field.
Paul has regional expertise in wetland delineation, permitting, and mitigation design throughout the Midwest. He has completed over 1200 discrete wetland delineation contracts within the Upper Midwest Region and has personally been involved in the design or installation of more than 50 wetland mitigation areas in addition to numerous native prairie and woodland restoration projects. Wetland delineation projects have ranged in complexity and scope with land tracts ranging from one acre to over 900 acres and utility easements stretching hundreds of miles for all types of private and public sector clients. His background and technical expertise in wetland, prairie, and woodland restoration allows him to fully understand the land resource management issues at play in the Midwest and makes him a well-informed speaker when relating issues to the public.
Jack received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Purdue University. He spent much of his graduate years conducting research in the area of groundwater hydrology. However, his interest in environmental engineering (undergraduate major) also led him to be involved in studies relating to how native plants can be used for the treatment of wastewater and stormwater and also for the remediation of contaminated soil. While attending Purdue, he received numerous awards for his excellence in academics and research as well as for his outstanding teaching abilities.
In July 2005, Jack joined LRMG as a water resources engineer consulting on projects involving surface hydrology, river/stream flow modeling, water resources assessment, stormwater Best Management Practices design, and watershed planning. In November 2009, he became the Vice President of LRMG. Currently, he coordinates and manages technical and production aspects of the business by overseeing the LRMG design studio. He has recently titled himself an "Ecological Engineer," realizing the multi-disciplinary nature of his work as his experience grows in the area of prairie and wetland restoration.
