Chicago Wilderness Corporate Council

The Chicago Wilderness is a regional nature reserve that includes more than 225,000 acres of protected natural areas. It stretches from Southeast Wisconsin through Northeast Illinois and into Northwest Indiana. The protected lands in Chicago Wilderness are forest preserves, state parks, federal lands, county preserves, and privately owned lands. There are also many unprotected natural areas that offer refuge to native wildlife. As a member of the Chicago Wilderness Corporate Council, LRMG is making a commitment toward improving our local environment. The Corporate Council is a group of affiliated companies from the local business community that has a profound influence on the ecological health and biological diversity of the Chicago region through people, land development policy, management practices, political activity, and philanthropy. (Information from www.chicagowilderness.org)

American Society of Landscape Architects

The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), founded in 1899, is the national professional association representing landscape architects. The ASLA works to increase the public’s awareness of and appreciation for the profession of landscape architects. LRMG is a participating member at the state (Illinois Chapter) and national levels. The Society of Wetland Scientists

The Nature Conservancy

The Nature Conservancy is a leading international, non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the diversity of life on Earth. The Nature Conservancy operates on a mission that reads: "... to preserve the plants, animals, and natural communities that represent the diversity of life on Earth by protecting the lands and waters they need to survive". Illinois Native Plant Society

The Illinois Native Plant Society was originally organized as the Southern Illinois Native Plant Society in 1981. In 1986 it became what it is known as today. South Suburban Mayors & Managers Association

Located south of the City of Chicago, the South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association (SSMMA) is an intergovernmental agency providing technical assistance and joint services to 42 municipalities representing a population over 650,000 in Cook and Will Counties. SSMMA members work cooperatively on transportation, legislation, land use, economic development, recycling, purchasing, stormwater and open space planning, infastructure, human resources, public safety and housing issues. Chicago Southland Economic Development Corporation

CSEDC works with municipalities, the private sector, utilities, and other groups to analyze regional economic development factors, business clusters, and development corridors to identify significant development opportunities and market those sites to the private sector. Crete Mainstreet Association

The Crete Mainstreet Association is a non-for-profit organization committed to creating a better understanding and appreciation of the importance of the Crete business people and their role in the Crete community. Will & South Cook County Soil and Water Conservation Partner

The Will-South Cook Soil and Water Conservation District, organized in 1946, encompasses all of Will County and the portion of Cook County that lies south of 22nd Street. The District works together with the United State Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to help district residents conserve, develop, manage, and wisely use land, water, and related resources.
